Napier’s Bone

    Napier’s Bone is an oldest kind of calculating device. It was developed by a Scottish Mathematician; John Napier firstly invented the table of logarithms the tabular arrangement of numbers in such a way that could be used to do multiplication and division. The table of logarithms developed in 1614 AD.

-On the base of logarithms theory, in 1617AD Johan Napier invented calculating device, Napier’s Bone. It could perform multiplication and division.

- The Napier’s Bone consisted of 11 set of rods made up of scrips of bones on which           numbers were curved.

-In the Napier’s Bone calculation is done in terms of addition & Subtraction.
