An abacus is a kind of earliest/oldest
calculating device based on decimal number system. It is used by sliding
counters along rods to perform simple mathematical calculations. Such as
addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

It was invented about 3000 years ago in China.

It is made from wooden frame.
- It has two parts one is upper part /upper deck and
another is lower part /lower deck.

Upper part is also called ‘heaven’ and lower part is
called 'earth'.

Heaven and earth separated by beam.

Heaven contains 2(two) beads and earth contains 5(five)
beads.
