Floppy disk or floppy diskette is a type of disk storage composed of a thin and flexible disk of magnetic storage medium in a square plastic enclosure linked with a fabric that removes dust particles from the spinning disk.
- It is an output storage media of computer.
- It is used to save 1.44 MB of data on the computer such as: documents, pictures, software etc. and to view, correct, copy, paste, print, delete etc.
- The first floppy disk was introduced in 1971. It was an 8 inch flexible magnetic disk in a square case.
