PATA Cable
PATA cable
is a type of computer cable. PATA is a short form of Parallel Advanced
Technology Attachment. It is older than the SATA cable. It is used to connect
the hard disk drive to the CD-Drive on the motherboard. It is also called Ribbon
cable. It has mainly three parts.
There are:

Master

Slave

Controller
Master: It is a part of the PATA cable which is
connected to primary hard disk.
Slave: It is also a part of the PATA cable
which is connected to the CD/DVD Driver or secondary hard disk.
Controller: It is a part of PATA cable which is
connected in motherboard.
