Jumper
- Jumper is short length of conductor used to close, open or bypass part of an electronic circuit.
- It is a small item used next to the hard disk, CD-ROM, DVD/RW and the CMOS Battery of the motherboard.
- It is used to master a hard disk or CD-ROM, DVD/RW, and to set and remove passwords in CMOS.
- It is also called CMOS Jumper, Hard Disk Jumper, CD, and DVD R/W Jumper. From this, two pins are shortened to make master and slave.
